My parents are currently in the process of moving to Fripp Island, SC. In an effort to take a little mini-vacation from work, I joined them in their trip down south. Fripp is a 6 mile barrier island located along the Atlantic coast of lowcountry South Carolina outside of Beaufort, SC, 96 miles south of Charleston, and 65 miles north of Savannah. The Tennis Villas are among the oldest houses on the island and were constructed in 1978, and are 100% retro.
I mean how adorable is this vintage GE oven?! I was obsessing over it and my parents were like, eh, we had one of those.
I also loved the yellow bathroom upstairs. (I’m not kidding, I would slap some grey paint on the walls and just make the mod yellow tile work!)
Lastly who doesn’t love this spiral staircase? Sure, the carpet is weird but it has potential!
I think what I loved most about this place was that it had so much potential for great style with basic cosmetic changes. And at the end of the day, even if you don’t love retro homes as much as I do, no one can say no to this MARVELOUS long marsh view.
