My new house came with a bar counter in the kitchen. After what seemed like hours of online shopping and finding that the only barstools I liked were well over $200, I decided to do some shopping on Craigslist where I found these two beauties uglies.

They’ve been sitting in my dining room forever just screaming to be reuphostered, and I finally found some great fabric at the u-fab outlet here in Richmond.

This project was particularly easy, since the barstools came apart with an allen wrench and I just staple-gunned the fabric onto the seats and back. I opted for a chevron seat with a deco-esque back, instead of upholstering them in the same fabric. I am super happy with how they turned out and even more thrilled I didn’t spend hundreds of dollars on new barstools!
